Quay Street Bulimba Project

Network Steel recently installed a structural steel package for a project in Quay Street Bulimba. The riverside project consisted of a series of structural steel portal frames that were designed to be concealed within the wall and floor framing, offering the home owner a large open plan living area, with uninterrupted views across the river.

At the beginning of the process our structural steel detail draftsman used the design drawings provided by the architects and engineers to create structural steel workshop drawings. From this cad detailing we built a working 3D model of the structural steel assembly. During each project we focus a lot of energy on the preparation of these drawings. This effort is rewarded when the steel arrives site ready to bolt into position with ease.

AMD were the principal contract builders on this project. Our team has a long association with the team at AMD having successfully worked together to integrate structural steel into timber framed dwellings throughout South East Queensland. This particular project at Bulimba was a knock down and rebuild, however we are often called back to this area of Brisbane to supply restumping steel posts and beams for renovations of historic Queenslander homes.
