Network steel specialise in manufacture and supply of quality steel lintels. All of our lintels are built to fully comply with the building and masonry codes of Australia.
Fabricated steel lintels for support of brickwork are used where proprietary brick lintels become inadequate, for example extra long spans and non standard width double skin brick work.
The term ‘steel lintels’ is a broad term that can take many forms. Typically supporting spans over window & door openings in support of brickwork over, or wall & roof framing above. Steel lintels in support of brickwork are readily available in a galvanised finish cut to standard sizes ready for purchase and incorporation into brick walls.
Steel lintels being used over openings in support of timber wall frames and roof trusses above are to be sized and certified by a structural engineer and are prominently manufactured from mild steel (AS3679-300) universal beams or parallel flange channels that are custom made, primed, drilled & cleated to suit site specific requirements.
All of our lintels are subject to thorough quality control checks. We consider this a big part of the manufacturing process, and this is vital to our ongoing commitment of producing the highest quality products. At this stage all of our products are individually tested to ensure they match up to our high standards and are fully compliant with the requirements set out by the building code of Australia.
Network steel supplies a full range of steel lintels for all applications and can arrange delivery across Brisbane and the South East Queensland region. All of our lintels are made to quality Australian standards, ensuring you only receive products of the highest standards. For lintel sizes refer to our structural steel catalogue sheets 6, 7, 10 & 11; price on application.
